The day of the week when you were born in 700 ms: Calendar computation in an autistic savant.

Some individuals are able to determine the weekday of a given date in a few seconds (finding for instance that June 12, 1900, was a Tuesday). This ability has fascinated scientists for many years because it is predominantly observed in people with limited intelligence and may appear very early in life. Exceptional visual memory, exceptional concentration abilities, or privileged access to lower levels of information not normally available through introspection have been advanced to explain such phenomena. In the present article, the authors show that a simple cognitive model can explain all aspects of the performance of Donny, a young autistic savant who is possibly the fastest and most accurate calendar prodigy ever described. Effectiveness of spatial representation in the formation of network communities: experimental study on community organizer

In this paper, we present and discuss Community Organizer, a system designed to support network communities. The main characteristic of Community Organizer is the use of spatial representations for the relationships among community members including the communications exchanged among these members. These spatial representations reflect the degree of closeness of interests and concerns among the members, and are intended to provide users with clues on how to form network communities. In order to investigate the effectiveness of the proposed spatial representations, we conducted experiments with two different versions of the software. One version offered meaningful spatial representations while the other version did not. The subjects who used the former software version felt a greater sense of ‘community’, enjoyed using the software more, and actively used it longer than the subjects using the latter software version (control condition). These results indicated that the proposed spatial representations are effective in supporting network community formation.     

中国艺术的后现代状况

20世纪90年代，后现代主义被嫁接到中国的视觉艺术中。在中国当代艺术发展处于多种可能时，许多画家自觉不自觉地将眼光投向市场，于是趣味取代了艺术家精神创造者的位置，提供给艺术家一个俗人的标准，一个消费与被消费者的角色与机会，但后现代主义的增生原则，真正体现了艺术的多样性和丰富性。     

Determinants of health knowledge: An investigation of age, gender, abilities, personality, and interests.

Ten areas of health knowledge were investigated in 2 studies, 1 of college students (N=169) and 1 of adults from the community (ages 19-70; N=176). Measures assessed knowledge of aging, orthopedic/ dermatological concerns, common illnesses, childhood/early life, serious illnesses, mental health, nutrition, reproduction, safety, and treatment of illness/disease. Significant gender differences favoring women were found for most areas of health knowledge, especially reproduction and early life. Results showed that cognitive ability accounted for the most variance in health knowledge with nonability (personality and interest traits) and demographic variables accounting for smaller but significant amounts of variance across most knowledge domains. Prenatal androgens and gender-typed behavior: A study of girls with mild and severe forms of congenital adrenal hyperplasia.

Gender-typed behaviors and interests were investigated in 26 girls, aged 2-10 years, affected with congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) and in 26 unaffected girls matched for age. Girls with CAH were more interested in masculine toys and less interested in feminine toys and were more likely to report having male playmates and to wish for masculine careers. Parents of girls with CAH rated their daughters' behaviors as more boylike than did parents of unaffected girls. A relation was found between disease severity and behavior indicating that more severely affected CAH girls were more interested in masculine toys and careers. No parental influence could be demonstrated on play behavior, nor did the comparison of parents' ratings of wished for behavior versus perceived behavior in their daughters indicate an effect of parental expectations. The results are interpreted as supporting a biological contribution to differences in play behavior between girls with and without CAH. 基于发文内容的微博用户兴趣挖掘方法研究

本文针对微博用户兴趣属性缺失问题,提出一种基于发文内容分析的微博用户兴趣挖掘方法。利用基于短语的主题模型和自动构建的用户兴趣知识库,能够有效地从发文内容中挖掘出高质量的用户兴趣短语并标识其类别,从而实现对微博用户的兴趣挖掘。在SMP CUP 2016数据集上的实验结果表明,主题短语模型在困惑度和短语质量上取得的效果均优于传统的主题模型,用户兴趣挖掘的准确率和召回率最高可达到78%和82%。     

在线用户兴趣多样性的实证研究

在线用户的群体兴趣对于分析在线社会网络以及个性化推荐至关重要。研究的目的是引入信息熵这一指标来准确度量用户兴趣的多样性。分别在电影网站MovieLens和音乐网站Last．FM数据上进行实证分析,即统计度相同的用户所选产品的信息熵值。MovieLens的结果表明,随着用户度的增加,熵值出现先上升后下降的趋势,即度小的用户和度大的用户的兴趣比较专一,而一般用户的兴趣较为多样;而Last．FM的结果表明,度小用户的兴趣非常多样,但随着用户听过的音乐数量越多,兴趣越明确。通过建立随机模型与实证结果进行比较,可以发现绝大多数用户在真实数据集上的兴趣的多样性比随机情况要大,可见用户的兴趣对用户行为模式的影响显著。

实务中玩忽职守罪的认定

玩忽职守罪的认定主要考虑两个因素:一是国家机关工作人员玩忽职守的行为与公共财产、国家和人民的利益遭受重大损失具有刑法意义上的因果联系;二是"公共财产、国家和人民的利益遭受重大损失"中"利益"的界定。"利益"应该是受法律保护的利益,如果是非法利益因国家机关工作人员玩忽职守的行为遭受损失,那就不构成玩忽职守罪。
